For centuries people have used essential oils for religious ceremonies, wellness and cosmetics. Did you know that essential oils date back to 3500 BC? So what exactly are essential oils? They are amazing! Essential oils are the oils that run through the plant giving it life. The oils are extracted by careful steam distillation, cold pressing or resin tapping. The fragrance of the essential oils are reminiscent of the plant from which they were extracted and are far more powerful. Millions of people are using essential oils and are finding they are able to achieve mind and body wellness that they never even imagined possible.

Young Living set the standard for essential oils and have lead the movement of bringing ancient tradition to modern day users. When you hold a bottle of our powerful essential oils, you are holding the pure essence of health-promoting botanicals that can be diffused or inhaled for aromatic use, applied topically, incorporated into massage, or taken internally as a dietary supplement.

  • Inspire a positive emotional state
  • Enhance your physical wellness
  • Purify your home
  • Refine your skin
  • Create a deep spiritual awareness

Young Living makes it simple. Their Vitality oils are in white labels and are labeled for internal use for dietary or culinary use. There standard label is for aromatic or topical use. See this hilarious video that my friend and leader made. She is adorable, right?! This explains the difference between the oils perfectly 🙂

Essential oils are powerful so I like to tell people, start sloooww… Less is more in the case of essential oils. Start low and go from there. Are they scary? No! They are just that amazing there is no need to waste your oils. There are however a few tips that are important to know.

  • Always check the label for clear instructions on the proper usage of the essential oil.
  • Some essential oils can cause irritation if they are not diluted properly with a carrier oil such as, Young Living V-6 vegetable oil complex, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.
  • Never use water if irritation occurs. If an essential oils gets in your eye or causes irritation on your skin flush and dilute with safe carrier oil to alleviate discomfort.
  • Do not apply essential oils to sensitive areas. We recommend that you avoid applying essential oils to eyes, ears or mucous membranes.
